Aviator Diaries

Hello and welcome.

My name is Ben Behrouzi. I’m an entrepreneur, angel investor, and private pilot from the Bay Area. More importantly, I’m a seeker of truth.

Like you possibly, from an early age, I’ve wrestled with some of the biggest existential questions and inconsistencies a curious mind can contemplate. Questions such as: “why are we here?”, “Is there a God?”, “Do we have free will?”, “What is the nature of good and evil?”, and many others. Questions for which the answers drive so much of our behavior, both “good” and “bad,” as individuals, as a society, and as a species. Those questions led me to read hundreds of books and papers on a myriad of topics and to pursue a study in Philosophy.

Despite my investigations and considerations for a variety of perspectives, I, like many, have come to be mostly disappointed by “answers” that do not pass the test of reason. In following, my mind is not satisfied and it seems I can no longer keep it at idle. Especially, as I see so much confusion, distraction, manipulation, and deception, everywhere.

For those that find themselves offended, disturbed, or disrespected, consider that my thoughts, questions and perspectives, if inconsistent or inadequate, can only serve to strengthen traditional and/or counterpart views. I am no expert, so any weak notions should easily be dismantled.

As such, these thoughts, meditations, and perspectives of mine, which are hopefully grounded in reason, can only help clarify our collective understanding. Sometimes spurring up from ten thousand feet in the air.

So then, what is there to be afraid of or offended by? Perhaps there will be value.
